Higher education institutions – irrespective of being state owned or private – may offer state funded and fee-paying places for applicants, and the institutions may also offer some scholarships for their students. The number of state funded places for each cycle and study field is annually determined by the government. The amount of the tuition fees is determined by higher education institutions in accordance with regulations stipulated by government decrees.
Tuition fees are considerably lower than in Western European countries, they range from 1.200 EUR to 6000 EUR per semester. Medical studies – having one of the highest tuition fees – are for example around 15.000-17.500 USD per year (as of 2015).
It is the sole responsibility of higher education institutions to update information regarding their study courses and fees in the Study Finder database, for more details please contact the institution whose programme you are interested in!
